Today I am grateful to God, through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for; mine and my families health, my youngest daughter whose birth is celebrated today and for my first born daughter who’s birthday is this Thursday.  I’m grateful my Uncle Jerry and Aunt Kathy made it out of their house as fire swept down their ridge and into their backyard…  I am grateful for my little church community in Torrey, Utah.  Thank you Jesus that the pandemic has not taken more of my family.  Thanks be that God is in the world and is sovereign.  And, may love spread on those who have offered prayers of comfort, healing and strength!

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. – Colossians 3:15 NASB

    I pray for our nation.  Lord God Almighty, look down upon this nation.  See those who raise our hands up to you as we cry out in anguish over our nation’s divisions and anger.  Heal our brokenness Lord, help us to see each other as humans, created in your image, created beings with one true God!  Help us to stop fighting and seeking self righteousness.  Heal our bitterness and resentment.  Lead us in your statutes and help us relearn your promises.  I pray that our nation can learn to forgive, in Jesus name.  That we can recall that our history began with reverence to You.  That we carved Your name on our walls of justice and taught Your laws and put our trust in You.  May we, like the Israelite’s in Zion, dust off scripture and learn Your precepts.  May we return our nation to following You, a God with truth, justice and power for good.  May the people of this nation see good for good and evil for evil.  May men, women and children, of this nation, bow to you with humility as we become thankful for all You have truly given us.  May eyes be opened, ears unplugged, hearts returned to flesh, to know You.  I pray this in Jesus name.  Amen.

     These scripture readings were from my church service this morning;

and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and I will heal their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14  NASB

Restore us to You, O Lord, that we may be restored;  Renew our days as of old, Unless You have utterly rejected us And are Exceedingly angry with us. – Lamentations 5:21-22  NASB
