I haven’t written for a while again.  It’s been a busy and changing environment over the last couple of weeks.  There is constant media coverage, constantly reminding of us of the virus that is on the rise and taking lives.  People have gone overboard with stockpiling goods and no where do you hear of whom you can truly trust.  The mass media on television will rarely, if ever, tell you to rely on God.  But that is our hope.  That is our answer.  We not only rely on His hope and truth, but we seek His comfort.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,”  ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭NASB‬‬

     Now Is the time to know God, His word and His salvation plan for all of us, through His Son Jesus Christ.  Let the Lord rule your heart so you may gain in His strength and righteousness!  In studying Isaiah it is clear that God is the One who causes the sun to shine and darkness to descend.  He is the sovereign God of ALL, whether people believe or not.  Disbelief does not change His state.  Isaiah, who has been given the future vision of the plight of his people and their enemies, states;

“At night my soul longs for You, Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently; For when the earth experiences Your judgments The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.”  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26:9‬ ‭NASB‬‬

     May we awake and rise up to stand with our Lord!  I am confident that God will complete a good work in me.  He will remain Faithful and True, for He cannot lie.  If I am His, and I am, then He has a place for me and that’s for eternity.  In knowing this may I be of use during this struggle with fear and panic.  May all of us learn God’s righteousness in how we demonstrate kindness, patience and tolerance during these new and trying days.  May we pray for our brothers and sisters who are suffering and for all nations as they struggle to get their people through this pandemic.  May I also recommend the new movie “A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood”.  I leave you with a most appropriate quote from the Matthew Henry commentaries on Isaiah (from studying Isaiah chapters 26-27):

“Those that trust in God shall not only find in Him, but receive from Him, everlasting strength, strength that will carry them to everlasting life, to that blessedness which is forever and therefore let them trust in Him forever, and never cast away nor change their confidence.”

It’s all about the heart!
