In Job, chapter 12, verses 7-10, Job chides his accusers and informs them… “But now ask the beasts, and let them teach you…. It’s a wonderful rhythm of verses that lead us to Who the great Creator is.  It is by His great design that animals and plants emerged from his hand.  It is also by His design that we are created in His image, thus, becoming image bearers of God.  I repeat this because we are to treat each human being as such, making us equals, which is what Job is telling his accusers.  By God’s design every living thing has life and He gave mankind his very breath.

But now ask the beasts, and let them teach you;  And the birds of the heavens, and let them tell you.  Or speak to the earth, and let it teach you;  And let the fish of the sea declare to you.  Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this, in whose hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind?      I’ve included photos of animals that we are familiar with whose very fur can change with seasons or whose coloring blends in with their habitat. At dusk many animals come out to feed because it is harder to distinguish them from trees and surrounding brush.  God is seen in His creation.  It is by these brilliant designs that we can find a God Who cared for His creatures.  It is through the knowledge of God that we, as His image bearers, can find a Lord Who takes up the debt we owed and paid for it with His blood.  A design put in motion by our great Creator.  Easter Sunday is upon us and we remember that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for OUR transgressions, OUR sins.  He took on the curse by hanging on a cross.  But, take heart!  He rose on the third day in fulfillment of  the scriptures and He appeared to many.  Now, He is the promise of salvation to everyone who believes.  Rejoice!  We have a God Who loves us.  We have a risen Lord Who can take away our sins and lead us to eternal life.  Amen.

He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said.  Come, see the place where He was lying. – Matthew 28:6

He is not here, but He has risen.  Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee,… – Luke 24:6

May the God of all believers and unbelievers, heal the human heart this Easter.  Love, Peace and His blessings.
