Newest grandson, Sawyer Kai

On Monday of this week Jim and I got to be part of my daughter’s experience of giving birth to our 4th grandson!  In John 1 Jesus explains to Nicodemus about rebirth.  That is our precious life Anew!  As I met my brand new grandson I realized how blessed we are to have the gift of our Savior, who gives us a chance for a redeemed relationship with God, our eternal Father.  I am also thankful for the gift of children and grandchildren.  God loves us so much to keep trying to reach us, to redeem us from our sinful, broken nature.   

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.                          -Romans 5:8 NASB

We have been given a chance for rebirth!  Just as we have children through the the gift of birth, God gives us a second chance to be called His child, through the blood of His Son.  As Jesus put it “…unless one is born again (anew), he cannot see the Kingdom of God”.  John 3:3  Jesus is talking about first being born of flesh and then, through His death on the cross, by believing in the propitiation , being born again of spirit.  Hallelujah! 

for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.             -1Peter 1:23 NASB
