Home

Jim and I are home and we have once again managed to park our beast in the driveway!  Hope (the dog) is finally eating actual, hard dog food again and life is good.  We will leave for new adventures around the first of July.

The Summer months don’t always include a bible study class so, this Summer I got my own series and have begun studying the book of John.  John is an amazing book I began reading a few months ago and became hungry for more, hence, the study.  I ordered what is called “In and Out”, John parts 1-3, through Precept Ministries.  I am absorbing as much as I can as I highlight key words.  The exchange between Jesus and Nicodemus is a favorite of mine but, now find the story of Nathanael fascinating.  From Nathanael’s question: “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?” to the comment by Jesus as he sees Nathanael approach:  “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit!”  Jesus is so clever as the next exchange is about how he knows Nathanael and Nathanael exclaiming that Jesus is the Son of God; the King of Israel!  – John  1:45-51  Jesus sets up the exchange so what follows also brings in others.  I love that about Him!

It is good to be home for a brief time, to see family and friends and have some time to get myself back into studying.  I believe I’ve selected the perfect Summer topic with John!  May your days be relaxing and filled with the knowledge of God.  In the book of John, Jesus compels us to know the Father through Him.  I say Yes! Yes to knowing my Lord and my God.  Peace.
